My Challenge: Talk Sense, or become an OxyMORON (and Someone Else’s Dinner)

This post was drafted March 2014, and is posted June, 2014. Although it has some oddball illustrations — like the duckbilled platypus– and it references distraction techniques of cults (which, FYI, you’re in it), below all that are some references you might want to bookmark re: FMS.Treasury.Gov (excerpt in 2nd box yellow with teal-green border. This shows combined US government receipts & outlays, by source, in numbers and in a pie-chart, which is easier to remember.

This is also 7,000 words, and has multiple formats. [Insert Standard Copyeditor’s/Proofreaders’ Nightmare Disclaimer for anyone who’s expecting a proofread, copyedited vision of perfection.]

I am one person struggling with a free wordpress blog platform. I compose what I’ve personally investigated and written up, including quotations and evidence from many different sources, and commentary on these, in a triple-view format; sometimes in “Text” (html) mode, others in “Visual” (the post editor). Neither “Text” nor “Visual” mode bears ANY true resemblance to “Published” (or Preview) mode, either to paragraphing, or even to fonts (typestyles).

However, I do consistently deliver other goods that I know have helped some people not go “bonkers” (nuts) during their custody cases, get them out of trauma mode by giving some objective information (not standard predigested rhetoric) on these operations.

Anyone who doesn’t like this blog, or its format, can go find this information elsewhere [good luck with that…], or if he or she wants this information in a more polished format, hit the Donate button (on the sidebar) to help me overcome the technical (computer) issues through upgraded website, or, if that’s not within your ability range (or wish), consider signing the petition I’ve included on this post so I may do this myself, with my own resources, which the straightforward petition explains. Or be patient and understand the purpose of this blog. It’s not my attempt at an academic dissertation. I have my degrees already. It’s about laying out some information as a NOTICE that this type of information exists. And that people who have been badly traumatized can at least reduce their own confusion on cause-and-effect by becoming aware of this information; including WHO designed the family courts, and the programs to be run through them; and how.

Sometimes you just need other information to get your bearings. What’s more, it’s interesting and relevant to all of us where our taxes are being spent, and who’s running our courts.

This older post goes with a page I’m featuring when I published the “Pages” menu (all 58 titles) and made it top-most of (so far) eleven sticky posts on the blog, under the “Current Posts, Most Recent on Top” link. (which is actually a static home page, now one of two). (see 58 More Essays (Pages) on Essentials** of the Family Court Arena. **IMHO, as expressed 2009-2019. (Published July 31, 2019; Short-link ends “-ar9”)) went looking for this post intending to include it there. It has more content and background than the page). Naturally, I want it formatted respectably.

It seems at least one more (the one just before this) post should be linked to that page, now that I’m again highlight Baltimore and Maryland’s handling of family court-connected situations and practices, still, in summer 2019). Also, Baltimore has always been a key state for reasons involved here, and for “responsible fatherhood” activities and certain organizations too.

Also, because right now (late June through mid-December, 2019 in Maryland) testimony is being heard in front of a new Governor’s Study Workgroup (appointed 2019) regarding how to better incorporate trauma-based services (ACES) into custody decision-making. (Searchable on Twitter; I’ve referenced it with some links and media, may post, so not incorporating a “mini-post” here). This time, doesn’t seem to be particularly about the custody decision-making process itself, but those involved both on the work group and (first session) testifying before it should be noted (along with their particular a la carte recipe — failing to incorporate reporting on responsible fatherhood (and healthy marriage) welfare reform, failing to report on key organization “Association of Family and Conciliation Courts” or any of its chapters, etc.). In following up on this and some names I did not personally recognize from the field (UBaltimore School of Law involved), I unearthed yet more evidence of who pushed the family court divisions in this area, and how it was done. Like many activists, they tend to mutually boast about their own accomplishments, one easy way to find further details.

ABOUT THAT: A previous study or work-group had been appointed in 2013; a current member of the 2019 workgroup which had previously been (as to the organization, not the individual) mostly an attendee of the other sessions.

The question arises of how much of any executive-branch commission, task force, work group, or study group is staffed for to validate a pre-determined or foregone conclusion (i.e., rubber-stamping).

But in the case of setting up the family law divisions in this area — it doesn’t seem to have been one. They really had to be rammed through; and it took several years. Read about it (what I knew as of late 2013) below.//LGH Aug. 2, 2013)

Meanwhile, I am engrossed in the subject matter, and this work is neither contracted nor hourly. It’s Christmas Eve, and I’m posting anyhow.

Major lesson? Want justice? It has to be economic justice, and through self-education (that means, put one’s time into something else), unless the country gets out of the business of war, which basically causes business contracting with the US Government to wage it, which then with this wealth (and while soldiers die on both side, and landscapes are blown up, new drugs are used for warfare and then to repair the injuries and trauma from war) foundations enable the wealth from war to be used for PR and — as it actually turned out, probably, in this case — a certain foundation wants the nation to function differently, which it has been. (Oh, the benefits of Billionaire BIG).

Also whatever illness one of the fortune-family’s kids have, that’s the disease that gets the research for the cure (how about healthier lifestyles and less poisoned food supplies, and fewer drugs for us all?)

Generation IV of the exact same heir’s name, ALL of them knowing they have enough wealth to throw it around and make the rules, is behaving badly, pays off the ABA to set up a center to create Unified Family Courts (including this one in Baltimore), the ABA keeps up the good work, and eventually a judge concedes. [Read the whole article for another take on how wealth is acquired; the word “strangulation” was used in this one, coercion, under duress signing over businesses one helped develop, etc.] Bullies into Healthcare, Health Research and Family Justice….

The wealth has also probably affected the family line, which contains a number of high-profile (that’s the level they exist at) celebrity disasters, reported in 2010 when one of the daughters died of drug overdose in squalid conditions. Family members cut themselves in or out of the business, or wealth, affecting future generations of their own, only larger-league.

The courts also order families into therapy they don’t need; sometimes involving drugs (i.e. anti-psychotics). The foundation just so happened to be a major pharmaceutical, one of the world’s largest. And from 1988ff a major contributor to Republican party, causes, and candidates, particularly future President Bush.

And we expect JUSTICE from this model?…Merry Christmas indeed, and for my NEXT Christmas, I’d like a website with an embedded style chart I don’t have to do manually, my children to understand some of these truths, AND I’d like to see them again too, would be nice…. might even re-instated the practice of observing or participating in holidays, MAYBE. If you’re not up for the narratives, just look at the links….

Expanding and supplementing the theme from the last post; links to documents gave me more understanding of WHY we have family divisions, by looking at their backers.

The setting up of new, and different subject matter jurisdictions in America has been going on for a long time — problem-solving courts, drug courts, mental health courts, etc. The “Genius” of the Unified Family Courts (or of Family Courts themselves, unified or not) is that now ANY adults with children, i.e., about half the population of the United States perhaps — can now be funneled through the courthouses, being economically dinged for services on the way. It’s a way to substitute the decriminalization of (crimes) and replace it with behavioral health/service-based language in the name of helping “The FAMILY” (versus, individual rights, due process, etc.).

RE: Barbara Babb, Judge Bell, and Baltimore — a convocation of “Bs,” apparently helped pull off a Big Stunt in the creation of the Family Division, by Judicial Administrative Rule, in only 1998.

Ms. Babb, a truly committed Therapeutic Jurisprudence Law (Associate) Professor, proselytizing on the first 15 years, let me in on how yet another state got its family divisions, subject matter grabs, and dminishing of the concept of “domestic violence” or “domestic abuse” as a non-legal matter.

Sometimes it takes a while of focusing on things that catch your attention, then coming back later, with more understanding on your part (from having continued to read, look, see more data) and sometimes, changes on the website’s part as well.

2014 February 18 — an update on the nonresponse to HHS grants database going down may help us understand what it means to young people, and their parents, when the mainstream public engages in a universal “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” on their own governments operations; after a long day at work and with their family (if they’re lucky) at home, time to “unwind” with mainstream MEDIA information. The problem with this (and I do understand the need to detach and tune out by tuning in some nonsense or entertainment, believe me!) is that we NEVER get around to reading our own government’s operational “annual reports.” If we were invested DIRECTLY in a business, would we not do that? If we were contributing, say, to a nonprofit, might we not occasionally take a look at their tax returns and, as it applies, annual reports also? Let’s try this another way– if we were invested as private shareholders managing our own stuff (or, hiring a trader to) — might we not from time to time read the shareholders’ reports and SEC filings? Or want to get at least a sense of what we’re getting for the money?

Your Money, Their Tax Exemption,

Your Kids Gone (or Abused) courtesy

Your Government. Your President(s) Promoting it, Too,

Clinton, Bush, Obama, ….???

Name me one that didn’t promote faith, marriage and fatherhood.

Or have a background involving some real estate deals pre-Presidency.

I’ve been looking (too long, probably) at what these organizations do, how they behave, and what the pattern is. Unilaterally, it’s sickening (i.e., it’s corrupt). I believe that collectively this is the “air we breathe” and that it gets back to the money system — a dual class cartel being created and expanded, where those closest to the “Court” may save or prosper their own asses — but it will be at the expense of ethics, truth, and others. This will lead to more bloodshed, as some are going to resist by non-economic means.

All of this may sound complex (particularly as I don’t present it visually in the best manner — I’d be better in a Q&A, or live; and don’t have graphics skills). But as to concepts, it isn’t. If you can think conceptually (and surviving depends on more of it these days) — you can understand these concepts. The thing is, most people’s lives don’t require analyzing so much of their government from top to bottom, while not being IN it or ON it. Those of us who got so marginalized and don’t like fake answers (hard truths are OK, “Placebo” truths are not) — have been doing so.

THINGS FLOW: Electricity, water, air (lava, sometimes), sap, blood, lymph (with help), sewage, OK, MILK, semen, right?– and money.

AND – information / IDEAS — in the form of words, sounds, images, smells — almost anything that involves one of the five senses. This is your: face to face, and technology over the decades: Paper (Gutenberg), Radio, Telegraph, and now, The Internet — Social Media — the web. . . . . Etc.

(Some — many — also assert that spirit exists, and as such, it’s been compared to: wind, fire, and water. (“Earth, Wind and Fire?”)

THINGS FLOW — and they flow GEOGRAPHICALLy and CHRONOLOGICALLY. MONEY FLOWS.

In a sense, property ownership ALSO “flows” — from one owner to another.

THINGS FLOW — and when they do, there are conduits, surfaces, or carriers (irrigation systems, etc.) through which they flow. Or seep. Or, are transmitted.

Extended illustration that WHAT flows, matters. Maybe some things shouldn’t be:

As they flow, and over time, they sometimes are themselves transformed (water) or transform (give life — or death) to — other things. Right now in Pennsylvania, there’s the issue of SHALE (“fracking”) which forcibly injects a mixture of liquids (carrying pollutants) to get the desired oil out, I guess. (see link) Here’s a description which proves that, if you flush something out that wasn’t meant to be flushed — there is a resulting flow of crap, which has to be hauled away. I seems that presently the Governor of PA (Corbett) is appealing municipalities protests of an unconstitutional (and so ruled, by the Supreme Court of PA) restriction on local municipalities to protest zoning that would — enable this fracking, I think. What did the GOV do? Well, the apparatus was already set — there were states’ attorneys, and a (centralized development agency), the OECD, over which he appointed a crony (“walker”) (or, at least donor to his campaign, and with a financial interests in defeating this Ruled-Unconstitutional act. Power at work…).

Now, what to do with it? This is about FLOW and just an illustration. A large one, of course:

Flowback and Brine Treatment in Pennsylvania

Someone may try to convince you that using 6-million gallons of water for fracing one gas well doesn’t amount to a massive amount of water. Even if they are successful in making that argument, the next topic becomes flowback or brine. What do you do with the crap that comes back out of the ground?

$Gas drilling wastewater receives no treatment to remove frac fluids or chlorides, only dilution with treated sewage from this McKeesport Municipal Authority.$
The Municipal Authority of McKeesport accepts 80,000 gallons per day, which is then mixed with treated sewage and dumped into the Monongahela River upstream from Pittsburgh. Hawg Hauling is part of Chesapeake Energy.

Somewhere between 20% and 40% of the water used for hydro-fracing a gas well returns to the surface as flowback, and later as produced water. In addition to the frac fluids added by the gas drilling companies, this water picks up other contaminants from deep in the Earth (~ 7,000 feet deep) with one of the most notable ingredients being salt.

Let’s talk about what’s in it: (from same site — just browse…)

These fluids contain sodium and calcium salts, barium, oil, strontium, iron, numerous heavy metals, soap, radiation and other components. This fluid combination becomes brine wastewater, and tanker trucks hauling it are labeled with RESIDUAL WASTE placard. Treated brine is also sold for deicing and other applications that utilize calcium chloride, often being applied to roadways.

Brine wastewater is difficult and expensive to treat, one of the same reasons we aren’t using much ocean water for agriculture and residential applications. The saltiness of this wastewater creates high levels of TDS (total dissoved solids). Incomplete processing of this brine wastewater, especially when dumped into rivers used for drinking water, creates a high TDS situation that causes drinking water treatment plants problems, likeTrihalomethanes. High TDS water reacts with chlorine when it is processed creating these TTHM’s.

Trihalomethanes (THM) are a group of four chemicals that are formed (along with other disinfection byproducts) when chlorine or other disinfectants used to control microbial contaminants in drinking water react with naturally occurring organic and inorganic matter in water. The trihalomethanes are chloroform, bromodi/chloromethane, dibromo/chloromethane, and bromoform (I inserted the “/”s)

That’s sweet, disinfecting with chlorine and other agents creates Chloroform, something used to kill butterflies and sometimes aid in a kidnapping.

BACK TO TOPIC ABOUT THE FLOW OF IDEAS —

AND WITH THEM, MONEY. SUCH AS IT IS….

ANOTHER THING THAT SEEMS TO “FLOW” (WITH CERTAIN “CARRIER” ITEMS) IS — POWER. AND THAT’S WHAT WE NEED TO BE MOST CONCERNED ABOUT, BECAUSE THAT POWER INCLUDES THE POWER TO INCARCERATE, THE THUMBS-UP OR THUMBS-DOWN POWER OF LIFE AND DEATH OVER PEOPLE, OR GROUPS OF PEOPLE.

SOME PEOPLE are just REAL INTENT in consolidating power, and have developed many ways to do so.

In my quest to see why I couldn’t even break a lousy individual (batterer husband) — or my own family off me, I came to understand more and more of these matters affecting the courts, and to understand (I believe) the courts for what they are — gateways to the flow of power DOWNWARDS and not for the right reasons. I’ve seen enough, and while knowledge is power, it is the delivery system which really counts (which those holding power certainly know) — as well as the MAINTENANCE OF MYTH:

When it comes to MAINTENANCE OF MYtH — there’s nothing like religion + internet. When it comes to hiding assets, there’s nothing like nonprofits and the internet — and pre-existing institutions. When it comes to DISTRACTION — there’s nothing like trapping people’s time in a SINGLE system (with captive, so to speak) audiences — rather than understanding how systems interact with each other.

As we speak, I have been accumulating layers (weaving, as it were) of understanding of various threads. ALL of those threads lead to distribution of money and bring up the question of the IRS. This brings up the question of whose bright idea it, and the Federal Reserve, and so many other coordinated things that they absolutely do comprise a FABRIC with a certain MODEL that is being (has been) stretched over the U.S. over time.

The CORE of this model is — I’m sure of it now — ECONOMIC

It is the centralization of wealth (as opposed to “money”)

with frightening systems of control, destruction, incarceration, potential forced psychiatric drugging, or simply peddling of narcotics (in addition to the drugging of kids in foster care — or schools — to control them, as well as the elderly, as well as the mentally unstable, as well as the . . . (get it?) )

we have become also accustomed (too many of us) to believe that DOLLARS are MONEY —

when Dollars are NOT real money– Dollars are Debt-Notes.

They might as well be play-dough.

And too many legislators have a dual allegiance — one of which is in the Vatican.

The others which say they aren’t Catholic have forgotten that George W. Bush has been called a better Catholic the John F. Kennedy. JFK actually had a fight with his conscience where faith fought his oath as President of the United States to uphold and defend the Constitution.

I don’t think the former Presidential contestant, Rick Santorum (nor, Michelle Bachmann)

would have had such troubling thoughts as a conscience of the law of the land might give.

They do seem to center geographically on Washington, D.C. (and historically so), with of course hot spots in various states where certain (nonprofit trade associations) have coalesced. Like, Denver, or Chicago — or some in California (Los Angeles, San Diego, San Francisco). In the middle of the country, Minnesota (out of all places) has been a hotspot of “DV” activity. Wisconsin seems to have been a test state almost, for welfare reform (Tommy Thompson, etc.) and is the home state of this “AFCC” I keep talking about. . . . . . Indiana, Kansas, Oklahoma are — well, what they are (very “fatherhood” friendly). Don’t ask me why NY comes to mind in this area — but it doesn’t.

LET’s CHANGE GEARS:

This blog has been “FAMILY COURT” focused (for its duration). However, as I kept pulling strands like this — ON MARRIAGE AND FAITH-BASED GRANTEES, SET UP BY HHS COMPASSION GRANTS, MARKETING MATERIALS FROM “SMARTMARRIAGE.COM” CONFERENCEES, DIVERTING FUNDS FROM WELFARE (NEEDY, OFTEN SINGLE-MOTHER HOUSEHOLDS) TO END UP IN PROGRAM HANDS, AS THE “LOW-INCOME” POPULATION STAY THAT WAY — BUT AT LEAST HAVE THE PRIVILEGE OF BECOMING PART OF A SOCIAL SCIENCE ENGINEERING TEST RUN, IN ASSOCIATION WITH COGNITIVE BEHAVIORAL MODIFICATION INSTITUTES ACROSS THE UNIVERSITY “CENTERS OF EXCELLENCE” LAND, INCLUDING IN GEORGIA, DENVER, AND ELSEWHERE: **

. . . . I kept running smack into the problem that, the problem is the dual class system set up by Nonprofit status, to start with. Nonprofits form boards, have salaries paid, either do (which = prosperity) sell out to HHS policy (which is itself blended with corporate wealth, see GWBush, already) — or go the private foundation route (i.e., PRIVATE wealth) — and from that platform, go about attempting to restructure the entire PUBLIC institution infrastructure, for its own good (as defined by the privately-founded wealth) etc. Roughly speaking, this might be called — and was exemplified by, the Robert Rectors (Heritage Foundation — i.e., just let us BE the United States Government, after all, we already know how to run things) versus the Peter Edelmans (Georgetown Law, and with the proven track record in Civil Rights, and in association with Children’s Defense Fund, see (his wife), Marian Wright Edelman, who are — let us FIX the United States Government — and by the way, we are taking private wealth.

What about people whose goal is NOT world change (“OUR version, for everyone — not THEIR version, for everyone), but, supporting ourselves and our families, staying active in our communities, and having time left to sleep — plus food to eat? Suppose we are happy within normal spheres of endeavor — we may want to travel some around the globe, but are not invested in owning and running it?

If I had to go to dinner with one of the two, I’d pick the Edelmans any day, but I do not endorse either of their policies; both are “change agents” and believe that their collective personal vision should be inflicted on future generations, whereas, I’m a single mother (or was), and have daughters — and just don’t happen to agree. Why? Because there’s such a thing as too much “SYSTEM.” Whoever runs a system for the nation, controls the nation — and a lot of its funding. And the public school system is similar to the family law system. They’re both here, feed on each other, and put IDEAS (not just people) in boxes, demand payment from someone else for doing this, but when it comes to FENCES (regulations on the administrators of the system), then the parents and nonparents supporting these systems — are FENCED out. See “metal detectors” and “lockdown.” I cannot think of a more overt collective attack on this country than those two systems, combined, have done to its children — and with the children, the parents who actually DO care about them, but must fight the government for access to their own kids, or a relationship with them.

In short, I don’t believe in nationwide SYSTEMS, period, except where absolutely essential. I say that having (sort of) survived an abusive “nuclear family” system and am still reeling from the extended family (plus friends) GANG simply because my children were wonderful (and irresistible), and, can you spell, “the love of money”? I believe this is what middle-aged people (both genders) do when their own (professionally OK, or even successful) lives are simply boring, unrewarding, or meaningless.

(SO, that long link above link is to a topic on Scranton PT which has a recent dredging of the marriage- and faith-based shell corps (and resulting headlines about their various frauds) AND shows how a major community change initiative by Saul Alinsky (Industrial Areas Foundation — now based out of Grace Episcopal in Chicago) (a) worked and (b) morphed from “using” the access to people that churches represented, to strengthening churches AS institutions and centers for receiving (federal) grants to change communities. It seems the HHS was fine with that — and somehow money is getting lost in the process.

CHURCHES COMMUNITY CHANGE AGENTS WITH CONTROL-CENTRAL:

A few of the posts (on that topic & forum) also uncovered in the process a COPYCAT of the Industrial Areas Foundation adapted to Christianity — or at least the veneer of churchianity — apparently some woman was overly impressed by some man who (it turned out) had himself been through PICO training. What “PICO” is appears to be a recruiting process — an organization trawls locally for leadership material and then recruits them into separate membership which becomes a “change agent” and then that local leaders goes forth and conquers. . . . . . . . I guess this is an alternative to normal judicial & legislative processes, perhaps…. (A SAMPLE COMMENT)

Here’s re: PICO, allegedly modeled after Saul Alinksy ideas and around neighborhood organizing. Apparently neighborhoods now being more fractured, they headed for the churches (ca. 1980s). Interesting and relevant from wikipedia. PICO (Pacific Institute for Community Organizing) started in Oakland, CA 1972, by a Jesuit priest, John Bauman

Spoiler: PICO National Network provides training and consultation and develops national strategy for its affiliated congregation-based community organizations. As of 2007 PICO had 53 local and regional affiliates, representing 150 cities in 17 states, with 1000 member institutions claiming to represent a million people.[1] It is also involved with organizing and training efforts in six countries of Central America and Rwanda in Africa

PICO conducts six-day national leadership development seminars four times a year, teaching the theory and practice of congregation-based organizing. Each year an additional seminar is presented in Spanish. Local affiliates also provide members and leaders with training on building and sustaining strong organizations, identifying potential leaders through one-on-one relational meetings, researching community issues, developing budgets, and working with public officials.[11]

PICO leader attracted to ideas of Saul Alinksy, i.e. incl. Alinsky’s tactics were often unorthodox. In Rules for Radicals Alinsky wrote, “[t]he job of the organizer is to maneuver and bait the establishment so that it will publicly attack him as a ‘dangerous enemy.'” According to Alinsky, “the hysterical instant reaction of the establishment [will] not only validate [the organizer’s] credentials of competency but also ensure automatic popular invitation.”[8]

PICO is basically community organizing to solve the world’s (i.e., it mentions urban, suburban and rural) projects — with connections to Central America and Rwanda…

In PICO’s congregation-community model, congregations of all denominations and faiths serve as the institutional base for community organizations. Rather than bring people together simply based on common issues like housing or education, the faith-based or broad-based organizing model makes values and relationships the glue that holds organizations together.

PICO builds community organizations based on religious congregations, schools and community centers, which are often the only stable civic gathering places in many neighborhoods

REGARDING the North County Sponsoring Committee (aka Faith Works) — it’s basically a PICO affiliate.

FROM 2002 return, its nonprofit purpose is to provide leadership training:

To strengthen North San Diego County families and communities by assisting religious congregations and other community groups in the development of leadership that is educated and organized for effective participation in civic life

No officers paid yet, and no employees. Largest expense under “other” includes PICO consulting fee: $14,675, plus training fees and training mileage:

This is a SHAMELESS transmigration from a long (project) I’ve been posting over at Scranton Political Times Kids for Cash thread. ALthough it’s actually in response to Joe Pilchesky having posted a SAVING DAMON case (from Southern Cal / San Diego area, and with full panoply of Protective Mothers Rhetoric and groups) on there. Totally out of character for him, but I then decided to look closer at the situation and open my big mouth.

(Better understood in the larger context) I feel sorry for mothers who are (like I was) led around by the nose to become activist before they activate common sense lookups of who they’re dealing with — both as advocates and as adversaries in the court system. For example — get this — Cindy Dumas had somehow a declaration (on her behalf) on “William Eddy” complaint form, but signed by Erik Fox, Ph.D. (who runs sexual abuser treatment programs all over, and actually recommended “abuse inoculation” treatment for Damon, Mom & Dad. I gather that hasn’t happened yet. [The Rest of This Comment on nonreporting [to California] $40million-budgetChildren’s Institute in Los Angeles, incl. its “Project Fatherhood(sm)”]: I’m trying to find out exactly what it is!

(per IRS form) 2009 salaries of key officers (5 highest) were plenty high: Mary Emmons (see corp. registration) — $310K; Nena Revoyr, $136K, Jeff Catania, $161K, Hershel Swinger, $167K, Kendis Heffley, $131K. (plus retirement & other income from this or related orgs.)). These are the US Trademarks still “LIVE” with the word “Fatherhood” in them. I didn’t find the one mentioned in the Children’s Institute descriptions, “Project Fatherhood” But it’s interesting one of them is from a PA corporation. You can see the details, including first use, whose idea it was and see that someone showed real forethought. Keeping in mind that welfare reform and the loosening up of federal aid to states for diversions into fatherhood & marriage promotion, both was anticipated — and happened in 1996.

The clinical psychologist who taught at Cal State L.A. created Project Fatherhood, which has provided therapy, support and training for more than 7,000 low-income urban fathers since 1996.

Swinger, a clinical psychologist, was a senior vice president of Children’s Institute who taught counselor education and directed a state-funded child abuse prevention center at Cal State L.A. for many years.

He was the founder and senior director of Project Fatherhood, a program that has provided therapy, support and training for more than 7,000 low-income urban fathers since its inception 15 years ago. Under Swinger’s leadership, it received a $7.5-million federal grant in 2006 to replicate the program in 50 agencies in Los Angeles County. It was recognized as a model program by the Obama administration last year.

Familiar with studies showing that children with absent fathers are far more likely to be poor, abuse drugs, drop out of school and enter the criminal justice system, Swinger believed that focusing on the fathers was a crucial part of the solution.

No mention of “present mothers” or of the fact that since 1996, one of the most dangerous places to be as a mother is attempting to leave violence with children and having a father contest custody — in other words, the climate towards women because of these programs, has become literally hostile. If indeed those facts ARE so, who is to say or not say that the real cause was “father-absence” or not something else? Is that a universal truth, like gravity — or a social construction? It helps expand a grants program if you are on the advisory council to another foundation: Federal funding allowed Project Fatherhood ^SM to expand in 2006 across Los Angeles County. Now, through a community grants program*, small faith-based and community organizations have been empowered to replicate the Project Fatherhood ^SM model in their own neighborhoods. …*The Project Fatherhood ^SM Community Grants Program is part of the Responsible Fatherhood Initiative funded by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, and the Administration for Children and Families, Office of Family Assistance.

“Justice and Freedom” (they’re partners!) are on really the auction block, and without dedication to doing something about this, one will need more Bread and Circuses (probably) to live at peace with one’s conscience — or to avoid acknowledging this.

Technology & Capital & Control of markets will always trump Law. And in this country law doesn’t exist for what we may like to believe it does.

Time to upgrade one’s financial literacy — as well as understanding welfare reform, as well as “give it up” on thinking that dollars = “money.” Dollars are not the only form of money by a long shot. And it’s unacceptable NOT to deal with some of this material after work, before work, or while unemployed, if one is. If our heads are a century behind the definition of a dollar, our behinds will be for sale even sooner.

Much easier than when there was an AFDC dollar-to-household match pre-1996. Child Support Enforcement? That’s a WASH, get real! $4 billion a year to LOSE money and set up new fatherhood programs?? ***My story began intersecting with C.A. Fitts’ description of HUD mortgage defaults and “narco-dollars” repeatedly — particularly as the HHS has clear connections in some of its policies — like marriage/fatherhood policies, and faith-based ones — to money laundering through the grants system. For example, the other day, attempting to explain this to some Lackawannans (i.e., Pennsylvanians — Lackawanna being the county right next to the infamous “kids for cash” scheme in Luzerne) who felt discovering the religion of a hated GAL was some kind of information breakthrough– I looked another grantee with the words “faith-based” in its name, out of Oceanside, California (North San Diego, I gather)

This along with some in Florida, was one of the first (2002) showing as receiving a “compassion capital fund” startup. And yet its umbrella (associated) “interfaith community services” [at the same street address] was recipient of multi-million$$ federal grants, particularly around housing, and had been the subject of studies (it says) from both Texas (as to faith-based) and Columbia Univ. As I looked at “faith-based community development corporation” one short step (link) showed a related credit union. None of it was adding up, particularly as USAspending.gov said the group got $150K (same exact grant), and Taggs said it only got $75K. Both databases allegedly get their sources FROM HHS — and to boot, this FBCDC had an EIN — but no DUNS# (etc.)

The umbrella (my term) nonprofit had been around, it said, since 1979 — incorporated since 1982. It didn’t take very long to start unearthing discrepancies (one day or far less). The next day, I studied more on Industrial Areas Foundation (Saul Alinsky) and found out how religious congregations and this type of programming are like male & female chemical receptors — both groups are hungry for power, immoral about how they get it, and have habitual under-reporting of income and failures to stay incorporated and transparent with the public. It was the match made in heaven…***

This blog here basically represents my study notes over a three-year period of WTF happened to “our” justice system — from the front lines of it. Not to mention WTF happened to “our” money (in the 1900s), and behind all this was the natural concern for HTF this happened to my life, as a mother (not just “parent” but a mother, in this century, in this political context, and as a person, as a member of a geographic and various other communities, and so forth.

I really do believe there’s truth in “Three Cities that Rule the World” (London, the Vatican, and Washington, D.C. — representing wealth, religion and the military/politics).

When the Bible said “The love of money is the root of all evil,” boy, did it tell the truth!

Also, the 10th commandment as “thou shalt not covet” (bastardized by one major religion into two separate commandments to cover for the deletion of the 2nd commandment about making and bowing down to graven images) — boy, did it tell the truth!

A lot of the evil in this world emanates from (1) political, (2) corporate, and (3) religious leadership in my own country, the USA, and most of this evil has been sold as “good” (or helping others). This triangle / “Triad” seems almost everywhere, the chief illusion being that they were ever truly separate. It’s a fine but basically meaningless distinction at this point.

The triangle image crops up everywhere, it seems — but even if it didn’t, those three do represent the major (earthly, at least!) power sources. Political (1) regulates the relationships (who hooks up with whom) between 2 & 3 — and really, this equilateral triangle could go almost any direction, with any angle on top — and have the same effect on the customers — financial devastation, homelessness, eventual death from that, starvation, or resulting riots, and definite eventual slavery along the way. EVERYONE accommodates to it — or is involved in fighting it. There are fewer and fewer DMZ’s left.

(these images sprang from my recent look-ups of HHS grantees with the word “faith-based” in their corporate names. I found out where HHS this millennia (and since welfare reform) intersects HUD (community development block grants) and has morphed. I also found out in this that the root of PICO (who trained one of the take the money and run nonprofits, in Oceanside California) is probably in on some real estate deals and has a board member whose nonprofit is based at a (Catholic) church — and which nonprofit was in effect something of a front for PICO Network recruiting. Don’t expect to follow all that unless you actually do the lookups, or at least read through where I did (bottom of this post). . . . .

That triad historically represents the major themes of a hierarchical society based on a caste system. Anyone NOT in the 1,2, or 3 sector is a client of it, and as such a target market (consumer). This includes the privatized prison industry, you name it.

The collective unconscious myths are crumbling, and people are looking for scapegoats.

Most of us have arranged our lives and made (too easy) a peace, I think, with these myths and are not willing (or possibly not able) to take the time to go through and dismantle, discard, re-organize and rebuild a world view with less cognitive dissonance.

And who has the guts and moral fiber to do this rebuilding without the easy way out — just joining another “church” — whether it be a literal religious-exempt 501(c)3 style (with or without a mortgage) — or the “church” of domestic violence rhetoric, family court psychobabble/cult-of-the-experts rhetoric, or fathers’ rights/family/children’s rights rehtoric, or “I’m holding down a job, therefore I gave at the office, whatsamatta with those people?” rhetoric (which is often internalized and not spoken openly)??

Unfortunately, the more I learn about where we are and how we got there, the more frightening and disturbing it becomes, collectively.

I have now fought the same basic fight, with pretty much the same basic tiresome people, for over 20 years; children have aged out, an elderly parent has died — with scarcely a pause in the hostilities. How does one get free of this without homelessness when one’s own governmental institutions are simply filled with fraud, and based on false theories about what causes poverty and violence (or at least on SELLING false theories about what causes poverty and violence to the public) ???

Like many others, members of (my generation of) my “family of origin” has some serious unresolved childhood issues it chose to work out on my hide, and bequeath to my children’s futures, at their, my, and society’s loss. So I have first-hand acquaintance of when & where the concept of “enlightening” sociopaths to the fact that their abuse is harmful to their children (try that when the adults in question HAVE no children….)

Many things are true — many concepts can hold water — but are not the fundamental, underlying truth surrounding an ongoing problem. Failing to account for the discrepancies and needing to move on, people turn to superstition and myths, and more “cognitive dissonance” — almost anything — to face truths that would cause a radical change in lifestyle anymore. Apparently those 1960s were a phase, now back to business — accumulating “money” (which isn’t accumulating wealth, but people still seem to believe this . . . . .). Similarly, feminism was a phase, now back to business: faith, family, fathers-dominant-model, & apple pie. . . . .we know it ain’t real, but who’s kidding whom? — it sells public policy!

This model of the wheel of abuse — it does reflect a reality, and more than “intimate partner violence” — it reflects the current relationship of the USA to most of its residents:

This chart shows you the kinds of behavior abusers use to get and keep control over their partners. Battering is never an accident. It is an intentional act used to gain control over the other person. Physical abuse is only one part of a whole series of behaviors an abuser uses against his/her partner. Violence is never an isolated behavior. There are other forms of abuse, which are shown in the Power and Control Wheel.”

Noticing a dynamic doesn’t change the dynamic. While the wheel dynamic is helpful, that analogy is not thought through and applied well enough.

Those being hurt, railroaded, or simply spun off into a meaningless, powerless existence in such relationships — need the dynamic to be changed — or, alternately, those on it need to tap a highly superior form of energy & power to stop it, or just jump off it, or to cause that wheel to get stuck in its own rut, digging deeper and deeper. Using language to describe the dynamic does help — it distances oneself intellectually and psychologically, by commandeering a different language than (generally speaking) an abuser attempts to indoctrinate the target with.

When caught up in this situation, we need OFF the wheel. USUALLY it takes more than one person to break out when it’s whirling — or greater force than the centrifugal (etc.) forces.

However this doesn’t significantly change the person for who this wheel is a Grrreeeat and comfortable dynamic and worldview.

What happens next is, the energy of being freed from this abuse is a STRONG force in the freed person and, depending on the amount of damages they have to repair, they will often have the competence for independent and functional decision-making, along the lines often of what kept them alive while dealing with hostile environment (unless it was just luck or tenacity…).

But this is what happens when such a person has children — those children become bounty in a larger and different-players “wheel” of control, and often by virtue of needing welfare initially.

This welfare may come directly from the United States Department of Health & Human Services (HHS) Title IV-A, and/or Title IV-D (Child support order) initially. Or it may come from someone outside, or both. But of all things such a family needs, immediately after the kickout — it’s generally TIME and SELF-DETERMINATION. . . . . Which are precisely the things they are least likely to get, as the entire country (as we speak) is itself caught up in another similar “wheel of power and control” based on the financial system, selling off debt, bailing out banks, and supporting an expanding administrative bureaucracy in which not just millions — but, literally Billions and Trillions of $$ are missing. GONE — unaccounted for.

As, we are finding — are children, and young adults, in this same system.

My children went missing for a month. But as law enforcement had deliberately enabled it, and there was legal profit to be made from it, eventually resulting in this blog when I found out WHY, I was on my own handling the shock, distress, trauma — and damage control, both with their school and my clients (work life). My work life never recovered — their (public) school never helped. At all — not an iota, including when I asked them for evidence they had. Nor did churches — anywhere. Why? In some religious worlds, a man and children in the congregation is worth something — prestige, finances, and public image. No matter if Mom is nowhere to be found and the Mom imposter isn’t even married to the guy . . . .

And in family law rhetoric, almost anything is worth SOMEthing in the system — a noncustodial father, a child support arrears, another person brought somehow back onto a dependency system who might have (with justice) stayed off it; more cases in the custody courts justifies they are “flooded” and need to initiate emergency triage procedures (and continue getting federal access/visitation grants which are only used to help the abusive parents, and/or fathers, regain access when access is an issue — not Moms. Trust us, that’s the truth!) — and you name it.

~ ~ ~I just wanted to say this today; I am heavy hearted from another round of the “power and control wheel” with someone who has their foot on my jugular IF my future requires finances, and the same person has had their foot on my jugular regarding access to and information about my immediate relatives. Barring outside intervention by the legal system, it’s up to me to make the critical situations in what to bail on and what to fight for. How’d YOU like to do this when it also included housing?

~ ~ ~So, when I talk about “myths” — the primary myth some of us still held (or in desperation, go through a phase of holding until the next rude awakening) is that government exists in this country to protect any form (whatsoever) of civil or legal rights more than it exists to complete draining the citizens of their blood — and assets — through various federal agencies (HHS & HUD, DOJ, DOE, etc.) — and in order to do this, a caste system must be maintained, as well as secrecy about the basic operations. My experience personally with my own (sick, truly!) family line (which maintains civic respectability, as many batterers also do) — has actually prepared me to reject inappropriate answers and continue mining for information that pulls it together in a reasonable fashion — that satisfies MY appetite for truth, and my awareness of many realities.

There are other whistleblowers more highly placed and financially literate than I have ever been (though improvement is always possible) — and they are also taking retaliation for it.

Of these — recently, I have run across the writings of Catherine Austin Fitts, formerly of FHA, and the daughter of a mother who, she writes, was on the Federal Reserve Board in Philadelphia. I first ran across the concept of “$59 billion missing from HUD” in association with approximately $14 million (collected but not distributed) child support being withheld inappropriately by the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office, which the attorney Richard Fine (for plaintiff father John Silva) discovered, and filed a case about: “Silva v. Garcetti.”

Fine ended up going to jail for exposing to much and getting disbarred also. He spent 18 months incarcerated. But, Kelly Patricia O’Meara wrote up some of this event — and some of the HUD material, such that when I ran across it again later, I paid closer attention.

There is a place where HUD meets HHS around so-called “low-income people.” (People can have high or low income, but that doesn’t define them as people! However one would never know this from policyspeak).

At this point, I don’t think it has high viewership and of the viewership, multiple usernames are probably the same person, i.e. Joe Pilchesky (sign on, and a disclaimer says as much). Joanne Pilchesky is incarcerated, wrongly or rightly, over elder theft somewhere in Pennsylvania and has been for a while; her voice is missed, but at least the forum’s not being used for a personal vendetta by either one, and they’ve tolerated me posting this research.

HUD & HHS are related, and HUD deals with debt, HHS deals with welfare. Both include lots of people in the courts. Houston, we have a problem…

Centralized government sucks because the gov’t is simply conducting a virtual war on American citizens’ money (not just their families and civil rights etc.).

Chief of Staff to Senator Kit Bond, then Chairman of the Senate subcommittee in charge of HUD appropriations tells Fitts in 2000 that HUD is being run as a “criminal enterprise”.

AMS is the company that installs, owns and operates HUDCAPS, the system credited with missing $59 billion at HUD in fiscal 1999. As of the time that HUD reports undocumentable adjustments of $59 billion, they have paid AMS $206MM

. . .Apparently this $59 billion is helping run private wars of various sorts, i.e., “narco-dollars.” Someone oughter be asking more questions about why the Administration (each Presidential) keeps pushing policies that we already know have missing money and are full of/attracting fraudsters — and why the public “buys” it. Better publicity is needed of this stuff.

I’m not a homeowner, and haven’t been, but what HUD and HHS do affects everyone — including neighborhoods. So I’m working through this material from Catherine Austin Fitts (who, FYI, is from Philadelphia). I hope someone whose eyes stray across this page may also consider what I’m saying — this personwas in a position to know, and it also makes sense with what I DO know about the HHS end of things, in re: the courts & child support, etc. — i.e., welfare-related things.

Did they have to pull a “Maryanne Godboldo” yet? Over RISPERDAL?

(search the name, Voice of Detroit Press pulled together a great investigative reporting; the case is symbolic of how the system treats independent, competent, and free-thinking mothers, particularly African-American single mothers, and what’s worse, she hadn’t had her child in the traditional school system, either.)

This was about the states’ assertion that ALL children are ITS children and attempt to punish anyone who bucks the system. Tanks were brought in on this one, the community rallied behind her, but the child was institutionalized anyhow. The same social worker “Wenk” had done it to another family the previous year (with several children), was being sued for that, and did it to this woman, again in 2011. What’s more, it appears that adverse reactions to school-related immunizations started the ball rolling.

4-15-2011 “SWAT attacks Home School Mom who refused to force-medicate her child.” Detroit mother Maryanne Godboldo faces multiple felony charges and is being held on $500,000 bond after a 10-hour standoff with a heavily armed police SWAT team. Godboldo was protecting her 13-year-old daughter from unnecessary medication ordered by the state.
The Godboldo case is yet another example of CPS working in league with the police in order to kidnap children. Godboldo was obviously an excellent mother and not a threat to the police. The fact they sent a tank to her apartment is more evidence that the state will react in a violent knee-jerk fashion when its authority is challenged.

DETROIT (WXYZ) – The 7 Action News Investigators were the first to expose how a local court wasn’t following the law when it came to removing children from their homes. Now one of Michigan’s Congressmen is calling on the Department of Justice to investigate the state’s Child Protective Services system.
Testimony under oath in the Godboldo case revealed that probation officers inside the court would routinely stamp Presiding Juvenile Court Judge Leslie Kim Smith’s name onto the removal orders. By law, a judge must review the CPS workers allegations of abuse, and then sign the order.

(so much for “the law” when there are pharmaceutical interests in the neighborhood.)

After we reported on the rubber stamping that legal experts say is against the law – the court stopped doing it. But we still asked the court and DHS to tell us how long it had been going on, and how many children were taken from their parents illegally. Judge Smith was not interested in answering our questions.
“But it was your name on those removal orders – why was this allowed to happen in your court,” asked Catallo.
“I understand,” said Judge Smith.
“Are you going to talk to us or not,” asked Catallo.
“Have a good day,” said Judge Smith.”

Another Reason (Besides Its Innate Irrationality) to Shelve the “National Healthy Marriage” Movement: It’s Running Out of Acronyms…. The moral of that story seems to be — the entities I was reporting on seven years ago (approx.) or more, sometimes continue to exist and do their business, without much commentary from people negatively affected by the welfare-reform source of their ongoing grants and sometimes, in addition, start-up funding.

Formatting changes, besides adding the title and short-link above, included adding borders, a specific page width, and using a different font than seen here (Georgia) to a cleaner-looking font. Also on blog upgrade not too long ago, the default background color changed from a reasonably white to a sickly pale-greenish tinge. Typically (though not every single post) I manually change this color back to white, and am doing so for this post.

TABLES: Many older posts, because they were in general researching healthy marriage/responsible fatherhood grants or grantees, contain copies of TAGGS.HHS.Gov tables, sometimes with many columns. TAGGS.HHS. gov has since restructured its user interface and search results pages. The older tables as copied onto a wordpress blog, dragged in much extra (html) hidden formatting; sometimes each row was a separate “table.” These are not worth the effort, and are rather inflexible, to reformat to fit within margins or otherwise; I don’t expect to re-format those. The Nonprofit’s Profiteer’s Epiphany: Regurgito, Ergo Sum:

Now THAT represents a little thinking, followed at least to some conclusion. Alas, in “marriage education” most are simply engaged in replication through repetition [hence “regurgitation”]. And the relationships they are most adept at is with whoever is helping people fill out the next round of grant applications — from FEDERAL SOURCES — which help set up PRIVATE, FOR-PROFIT CURRICULA OWNERS for life — or for at least a good set of royalties and nice retirement in these uncertain times.

But they are running into a credibility crisis — running out of names for each successive organization based on an idea someone had before the feminists, if not before women could vote!

Conjugating the Acronyms:

Perhaps I can conjugate the problem we face, in thinking up more names to get more federal grants to slap up some websites which pretend to represent something other than a slapped-up website, sometimes in accompaniment with an expired, suspended, delinquent or involuntarily dissolved corporate status. Which would, I suppose, make it a sort of UNincorporated (body-less) “ethereal being”? ???

This is on pp.326-327 among many other petitions; I suggest searching the term on the pdf. [Aug. 20, 1992 @ ParlInfo.APH.gov.au.]** Screenprints from those pages attached, but far from the only material on this topic, some of which was referencing programs in the US and names familiar to this blog (Gottman, Stanley, Markman, PREPARE, ENRICH, etc.)….

**2018 Update: (Slideshow and commentary within this block)

Although I certainly couldn’t do this in 2012 (or in 2013-2016, either actually), I inserted five (5) images here, pp. 325 (bottom)- 327 (top right) from the above link, presented in “slideshow” format” shows how Australia started its marriage funding and as early as 1992 there was complaint that: no figures kept which could match services provided to funding received; that some “marriage education councils” which had provided no training to date, still got funding, and that it wasn’t proportionate to the various provinces populations; that although funding had doubled that year to $1.2M (Australian $$ obviously), as of August, only just over 50% had been distributed; and, in short, the distribution of such funding looked overtly political, not needs-based.

TIMING: It also looks to me as though this type of programming preceded the provision of it in the US by a decade or two, at least as part of government policy represented by distributing grants to the states (or there, provinces)..distributed according to marriage laws, one enacted as far back as 1959.. (NOTE: by this time in the US, I learned later in my blogging, US conciliation services were being attached to courts where divorce/custody issues were being litigated. The “AFCC” (now, Association of Family and Conciliation Courts, a private association with historically membership also from the US, Canada, Australia (and the UK), dates its own origins back to 1963, not long after. //LGH.

Child Support and MRE: A Case Study of the p.a.p.a. Curriculum

This Case Study examines a successful and replicable approach to integrating marriage and relationship education (MRE) services with Child Support Enforcement (CSE) services. The Parenting and Paternity Awareness Curriculum (p.a.p.a.) represents a unique partnership between the Office of the Attorney General (OAG) and the State Board of Education (SBOE) in Texas.2 It offers a promising practice for engaging high school youth in conversations about successful and responsible parenthood and healthy relationship skills, as well as the legal responsibilities and realities involved in supporting a child. Nationally, the p.a.p.a. curriculum represents the first state-wide effort to educate students about paternity and child support responsibilities as the basis for a program.

From somewhere between 2009 + maybe the first half or so of 2011 (?) as I recall, I was blogging parallel with other “custodially-challenged mothers,” who had also been dealing with domestic violence as reasons for separation, including but not limited to Claudine Dombrowski (whose case was taken to the international level, and whose case docket I’d also read), and others, including the owner of the RandiJames website). I parted ways as regards communications and parallel blogging, email lists, etc. ca. 2011 in part because of the refusal to “deal with” the advocacy group’s denial of the federal incentives to remove children increasingly from mothers, i.e., increase “noncustodial parenting time” through “alternate means” at arriving at parenting plans (i.e. mediation, supervised visitation, etc.)…Later, I ran across (on-line) and had some off-blog communications (phone/email) communications, again, with some very smart mothers in Texas aware of this programming and of the untrack-ability of funds, and at least one whose life was being torn apart (and her family– children were not all in the same home) via Tarrant County, TX family court system. Texas has been a hot-spot state for this type of activity, in part through federal funding.

I must continue to emphasize that the Office of Child Support Enforcement (OSCE) is no longer about collecting child support. It is about meddling in your family business and exercising government control over families (which begins with the “birth certificate” and “marriage licenses”), with emphasis on removing control from women as childbearers and autonomous beings. This money is NOT going to raise the children–it is going into million-dollar research at the hand of ~~psychology~~ pseudoscience and court litigation.

NARME is one of my favorite groups to pick on because its directors are heads of other “funny” organization getting kazillions of federal funding, no matter how well they stay incorporated (or don’t): Joneen Mackenzie (Colorado), Dennis Stoica (California), Julie Baumgardner (TN, First Things First), and so forth. The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), Administration for Children and Families (ACF), Office of Family Assistance (OFA) is announcing the solicitation of applications to competitively award grants for demonstration projects that support “healthy marriage promotion activities” as enacted by The Claims Resolution Act of 2010 (Pub. L. 111-291).## Grants awarded under this Funding Opportunity Announcement will support programs that have the capacity and proven track record of providing a broad range of marriage and relationship skills training to low-income populations. To address the multiple barriers faced by individuals, couples/partners, and families [[“multiple barriers” erected by whom??]], projects will provide healthy marriage and relationship skills designed to change behaviors of individuals and move families towards economic self-sufficiency. ACF is particularly interested in funding organizations that are located in the community of the targeted population and that provide a broad array of services.

## This act is a Budget Appropriations act. In 1996, this went by “PRWORA” a term I tend to use throughout this blog to represent “welfare reform” in its reauthorized forms, including later re-authorizations which preserved plenty of these programs NOT making headline news. DR. Martin Ssempa, a pastor at Makerere Community Church, has received an award for his fight against homosexuality.

Ssempa and his wife Tracey received the plague from Apostle Alex Mitala, the overseer of the National Fellowship of Born Again Churches in Uganda.

This was during the “Great Marriage Celebration” organised by the National Association of Marriage Enhancement in conjunction with the National Fellowship of Born Again Pentecostal Churches in Uganda at Nakivubo Stadium over the weekend.

Mitala led hundreds of couples who converged at the stadium from various parts of the country into a prayer for Ssempa to continue being the torch-bearer in the fight against the vice in Uganda.

And, I see in a July 10, 2011 post “Bush Faith-Based Initiatives in the Hands of Obama” Search “Godzich” in this page for a section on just how closely the family is interwoven with GOP politics (incl. in Arizona and D.C.), AMWAY (in France and America) and where Dr. Leo and Pastor Tommy Barnett fit in the mix. As my title here says, “ANOTHER” reason to shelve marriage-promotion is running out of acronyms. That’s hardly the main reason!

Hardly surprising — Dr. Leo Godzich, who with his wife runs NAME — has personal (a relative) very strong connections with the state GOP and with the Bush White House at the time. In fact, the Bushes are practically “all in the family” as this article called “The GOP’s New Godfather” relates. The “godfather” in question is not a Godzich, but Doug Wead — however, check it out:

In Doug Wead’s dining room, there’s a photograph of George Bush cradling Wead’s son Joshua. On August 24, there was a Bush son in Doug Wead’s living room.

Neil Bush, the son who has had to pay $50,000 for his part in the collapse of the Silverado S&L in Denver, was treated like a high priest of free enterprise during a private reception there. That evening, Neil was scheduled to appear at a private fund raiser for the state GOP.

John Godzich was born into a Polish family displaced by World War II. He grew up in a French mining area, the second of five boys in a family that always dreamed of moving to America and finally did in 1962. They lived in Brooklyn and Manhattan, and John went to school at New York University. After dabbling in leftist politics, he says, he wound up working as a translator for the State Department. He eventually got into Amway and returned to France to build a marketing network of his own.

Now he shuttles between France and Arizona, where he has an 8,000-square-foot home on Easy Street, east of Apache Junction. It’s got a built-in chapel.

Now for little brother – – and this was back in 1992:

Pastor Tommy Barnett was correct when he told the packed house at his huge church on Cave Creek Road on August 16: “First Assembly is Phoenix’s French Connection!”

The door greeter at Phoenix First Assembly of God, which Barnett often refers to as “America’s fastest-growing church,” said, “Bonjour.” Associate pastor Leo Godzich gave the opening prayer in French before saying it in English. After “The Star-Spangled Banner,” the church orchestra and choir performed the French anthem, “La Marseillaise.” In the church lobby was Wead campaign material. Sitting on the dais was John Godzich.

After Barnett’s sales pitch (Give like you’ve never given before! Let us pray in the name of Jesus!), he told his audience, “We’ve got some international visitors, some French businessmen and women. Let’s give them a hand! . . . Let’s give them another hand! . . . Let’s give Jesus a hand!”

The church’s huge choir gave a rah-rah chant for the French guests.

After the collections were taken, the frenetic, raspy-voiced Barnett delivered a sermon, with John Godzich standing next to him as interpreter. Their images flashed across two huge TV screens suspended above the altar as Barnett told the crowd, “He wants you to have your own desires! The desires of the righteous shall be granted! He wants us to be prosperous!”

Godzich, says Wheeler, also heads Groupement Europeen de Professionnels du Marketing, an Amway-style, multilevel marketing company of 60,000 to 70,000 distributors. The Godzich-Wead ties are firm: Younger brother Leo Godzich was the incorporation agent for Wead’s company.

Anne Menard is an activist who has worked on policy, practice and research issues affecting domestic violence and sexual assault survivors since the mid-1970s. After serving as a senior consultant to the Family Violence Prevention and Services Program of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services during 2005, she returned as Director of the National Resource Center on Domestic Violence (NRCDV), a position she previously held from 1994-99. She has served as a consultant to the National Healthy Marriage Resource Center, the Lewin Group, and MDRC providing assistance to federally-funded Healthy Marriage projects in developing their response to domestic violence issues. At the NRCDV, Ms. Menard directs technical assistance, training, resource development and special projects to support domestic violence intervention and prevention efforts in the U.S. Prior to this national level work, Ms. Menard led the Connecticut Coalition Against Domestic Violence for over six years, and, in the early 1980s, codirected Connecticut’s largest domestic violence shelter and was actively involved in grassroots sexual assault advocacy.

Theodora Ooms & Mary Myrick are associated with, I believe, the Oklahoma Marriage Initiative & Public Strategies, Inc. which was the contractor for it. Theodora Ooms, MSW, is a senior consultant to the National Healthy Marriage Resource Center (NHMRC) and to Public Strategies, Inc. At the NHMRC she has responsibility for planning outreach to policymakers, writing summaries of research, and organizing conferences and other activities that advance the field. From 1999-2007 she was a senior policy analyst at the Center for Law and Social Policy (CLASP), where she worked on couples and marriage policy, with a special focus on low-income families, and twice testified before the U.S. Congress.

Mr. Batten

Most recently, Mr. Batten served as a Family and Fatherhood Specialist with the Colorado Department of Human Services. In this role, he successfully developed collaborative relationships between healthy marriage programs, domestic violence programs, fatherhood programs, child welfare, child support enforcement, and the Department of Corrections. Mr. Batten has been a Certified Family Life Educator since 1998 and is an experienced instructor of numerous marriage and parenting curriculums** including PREP, Bringing Baby Home, Nurturing Fathers, and Caring Dads. He is a frequent speaker and workshop presenter at OFA Conferences as well as Smart Marriages Conferences. Batten is considered an expert on marriage, healthy relationships and fatherhood. He has been featured on Denver television network affiliates and numerous radio stations. Mr. Batten earned a bachelor’s degree in Speech Communication from Northern Michigan University, a Master of Theology from Dallas Theological Seminary, and a Master of Education from Loyola University in Chicago.

As we are being told that Healthy Marriages help reduce poverty, persuade happily married men not to bail out on child support, and their abandoned children thus causing trouble for the rest of us, not to mention dooming children born to fatherless homes to a life of abuse and distress, if not crime — just take it on faith, that part — as we see, Mary Myrick, Anne Menard, Theodora Ooms, Public Strategies Inc. and probably Pivot Concepts (that manages the website) are all doing OK, right?

Keep in mind that “thinking” is optional this field. One must, however, come up with good names and be able to fill out some grants application forms. Of course, there are membership organizations such as NARME which can teach you (for a fee) how to do this. I lack animation, but picture a Sesame Street(tr) Show, only less entertaining. (fill in the blanks. how-to, shown below)

LET’S DO SOME ARTS & CRAFTS — SPELLING — LETTER BUCKETS.

I’ll provide the letters, You MAKE a Real Word. This will prepare you for Scrabble, Spelling, Crossword Puzzles, and eventually a better life in a nursing home, IF, however, you follow my lead and forget making comprehensible words — just pick an acronym that hasn’t been taken yet (or plow some new furrows in the field of marriage education meaningless names) you just might be able to fill out some paperwork, apply (by having healthy relationships with some of these resource centers below), get a grant (Say, $50,000) and then do nothing with it. Take the money, close up shop, dissolve your corporation, relocate, start another one, and thumb your nose at honest working public, just because they’re a little “slower on the uptake” than you were.

That is EXACTLY what it seems plenty of these groups are doing. Eventually, they find each other, and perfect how to do it en masse — which is what NARME, and some others are there for.

Oh yes, and for teaching marriage and relationship skills, along with how NOT to have sex before it (i.e., abstinence education, STILL….)

It’s important to flexibility, the “chameleon factor” needed for when one’s failure to file taxes might get discovered. Hence the word “Center” is better than “Corporation” which actually commits to a legal structure.

Which doesn’t mean ANYthing. I mean, it could be a website, or it could be a real center of learning at university. Only the State Franchise Tax Board knows for sure.

It could have some Ph.D.’s behind it AND government projects, such as the Gottman Institute or it could be a preacher and the church board who sold their souls to keep the grants, lost corporate status, kept the website and kept getting HHS healthy marriage grants, in fact MORE after their corporate status was revoked — like the NW (or is it “NorthWest” Marriage Institute). The word “institute” sounds like something important is going on. We never know, except by instinct through repeated check-ups, whether someone is bluffing, or seriously a professional with something to contribute (original) to the world.

Why Knot? is cute — and NFI is its big Daddy: The idea is to persuade men that marriage is a great idea — or at least to sit through this class, here.. The Why Knot? program is designed to help men develop a positive view of marriage. The extra “E” represents EXTENSION communities — apparently someone left a stone unturned as to where marriage promotion wasn’t, yet — Extension units of Community Colleges?. That’s funny, because in MY area, they are cutting funding for community classes, and they are also in trouble with night schools for too many kids per classroom. I have a theory that this overcrowding and boredom (not lack of campaigns like “NWNW”) leads to the extra unwedded pregnancies, but I could be wrong about that. NERMEN

How many of those groups are properly incorporated (Where is NERMEN incorporated?). We found one of the problem GALS in Scranton, PA area (Danielle Ross, see FBI Raid) belonged to a “Contemporary Families” type association with a registration at a Chicago University – and not consistent filing of returns. WHO KNOWS how much funding is spread around these quarters, and people taking executive directorships (etc.) at multiple organizations at once — but those organizations HOW many times are simply formed to soak up a grant stream, because grants are rarely available to individuals. LOOK — here’s a list of ALL the grantees with the words “Marriage” in them, from HHS. Who wants to research all this — do you? DO you believe it’s a good idea to sponsor MORE of this, taking it away from TANF, and knowing that TANF as of about 2000 (see OKLAHOMA) expanded from simply needy families to the entire state, through the Child Support, Head Start and other operations, to push the same concept on everyone, and sometimes literally just pay pastors and church boards to push marriage — which they are ALREADY DOING.

I know, because when I went for help to a certain pastor in my area (large multicultural urban evangelistic church) — by which time my marriage was just about a done deal anyhow, after YEARS of abuse — and said, look help, I need a referral — they gave me no outside referral, tried to handle it INSIDE and almost got me killed. Those years are burned in my memory — and the fact that the entire congregations of these churches, who often KNOW who’s beating up whom in their communities, are follow-the-leader NOT teaching each other the law, the mandatory reporting requirements (can you spell child abuse too?) and in general, are ALREADY sacrificing women and children on the altar, this “idol” of “Marriage For Everyone No Matter Almost What.” And how many of the preachers and pastors are cheating on their wives anyhow?

Nevertheless, here we are, from TAGGS. Realize that TAGGS almost never matches USASpending.gov, so either one is overreporting or the other one under-reporting, or sometimes, both. The GAO doesn’t track child support collected (but not distributed) very well, neither does the HHS’s own audit arena. Meanwhile the DV groups are selling women out in collaboration with fatherhood groups (I SHOWED you this today, above, right? See Anne Menard) so they can keep publishing their studies, and theories. I frankly have had enough of it.

Dr. Francesca Adler-Baeder Receives Award from the Alabama Fatherhood Initiative

Dr. Francesca Adler-Baeder of Auburn received the Strengthening Alabama Families Award from the Alabama Fatherhood Initiative (AFI) in Montgomery at a June 14 meeting in Montgomery. Dr. Adler-Baeder is Associate Professor of Human Development and Family Studies at Auburn University. She and fourteen other award recipients were recognized for their special contributions and their commitment to the goals of the Alabama Fatherhood Initiative (AFI). The AFI is a network of agencies and organizations that assists non-custodial parents in enhancing their ability to provide financial support to their children. It also encourages non-custodial parents to be involved in their childrens lives in a nurturing, constructive way. The community-based organizations being honored have operated exemplary fatherhood programs, and the public officials being recognized have provided outstanding leadership in the development of programs to support father involvement and strengthen families. The individuals being honored are program participants who have demonstrated dedication and determination in pursuing the goals of the programs in which they are enrolled. Through Dr. Adler-Baeders leadership efforts, the Auburn University College of Human Sciences was awarded an $8.2 million grant from the U. S Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) to support the work of the Alabama Community Healthy Marriage Initiative (ACHMI). The ACHMI is a partnership with Auburn University, the Childrens Trust Fund of Alabama, eleven Family Resource Centers, and Mental Health Centers who have joined together to build and sustain healthy relationships and stable marriages throughout Alabama.

Let’s read this again, carefully:

The AFI is a network of agencies and organizations that assists non-custodial parents in enhancing their ability to provide financial support to their children. It also encourages non-custodial parents to be involved in their childrens lives in a nurturing, constructive way.

You wanna bet some access/visitation grants are involved, plus welfare diversions? What happens when a mother becomes Noncustodial through some of these overcompensations — does an Alabama Mother get this help then to be involved in her removed childrens’ lives?

No — apparently she should remarry her way out of trouble, and then she can take a class from the National Association of Stepfamilies, or whatever it is, above.

Here’s that list from TAGGS. What we have here is nothing more than the HHS paying professionals to manage certain other people, market classes (if it’s their classes too, that’s fine) and keep expanding. FOREVER.

Well, there are 1,393 awards with the word “MARRIAGE” in the Award itself. EVERYONE is studying it– universities, too. Here are some from California (including one guy who’s now board of directors of NARME, Dennis Stoica), plus we see that in Cuyahoga County, Ohio — it went right to the Board of Commissioners. Remember the doubled-first names (still on there), and look at the amounts, too: (this is ALL years, selected fields, the word “marriage” typed in under “grant” keyword — and it’s an “Advanced” search. If you do this search, you’ll also see that not only ACF, but OFA, HSB, CB and several program offices of HHS are all in on studying and/or promoting marriages. Other than helping out real hospitals, paying DV Coalitions to NOT talk about welfare-reform related effects on the women they’re supposedly serving, Medicaid, Head Start, $4 billion (child support enforcement, right?) and TANF-Welfare — well, and trying to get more kids into the foster care system, and from there Adopted, without too much roadkill (but inspite of the roadkill already documented), it appears that what HHS is DOING is promoting and demonstrating marriage.

Life’s Work Shareef Abdur-Rahim is, according to Phil Taylor of Sports Illustrated, “the best NBA player you never see.” In college he played for the California Golden Bears, where he became the first freshman to win the Pacific-10 (Pac-10) Player of the Year Award. After one season of college ball he joined the Vancouver Grizzlies of the National Basketball Association (NBA). While the team’s losing record has kept Abdur-Rahim out of the spotlight, his dedication to improving his game and his well-grounded upbringing have prepared him for the fame that almost certainly lies ahead. Shareef Abdur-Rahim was born December 11, 1976. His name means “noble servant of the Most Merciful One.” Abdur-Rahim grew up in a big family, which included seven siblings, in Marietta, Georgia, a suburb of Atlanta. Abdur-Rahim’s father, William, was a Muslim prayer leader at the Masjid Al-Muminum (Mosque of the Believers) in Atlanta, Georgia, and earned his living unloading freight for a trucking company. The family followed the rules of the Muslim faith very closely and Abdur-Rahim often helped his father distribute food to the poor or joined him on visits with people in drug rehabilitation centers.

An article also talks about the Future Foundation and mentions Qaadirah, from the Sacramento Bee. Safe house, after school programs for school, the family also started and ran a private Islamic School in Atlanta.

But when I rang the doorbell on the “Reef House,” it was less about big names than it was big hearts. Abdur-Rahim’s sister, Qaadirah Abdur-Rahim, certainly fit that bill. She is one of 11 Abdur-Rahim siblings, and so close in age to Shareef that she can’t remember how close (a year or a year and a half, she says). Her 31-year-old brother by the way, isn’t the only athlete in the family, as she ran track while attending Cal just like her brother had. He, of course, had slightly greater athletic fame, having been dubbed “The Future” for his talents that were just that promising.

Now though, Qaadirah is the executive director of the “Future Foundation,” where the only gameplans are the ones which involve helping kids develop in a healthy and happy manner. There are two facilties, one which offers free programs of varying kinds to elementary and junior high-aged kids and another some five minutes away which services high school students.

Understanding that Andy Kopsa is protesting protests of same-sex marriage, and religious right-wing matters, at least she blogs some of the funding here. I sometimes wonder if anyone else is even paying attention!

To recap, The FAMiLY Leader {{TFL”}} is responsible for the bizarre “Marriage Vow” made famous in July that extolled the benefits of slavery to African-American families (after push-back, TFL removed all reference to slavery from the pledge’s text) and women’s role in society (producing lots of babies) and most recently a possible pay to play scandal where TFL asked Santorum to essentially pay for its endorsement. (Despite all this, TFL wouldn’t be half as interesting a story if the organization hadn’t been built with over $3 million in federal funds.)

TFL began building its serious national political clout during the run up to the 2010 mid terms. Then known as the Iowa Family Policy Center, The FAMiLY Leader (the little “i” stands for subservience to God) scooped up the three-time Iowa gubernatorial race loser Bob Vander Plaats. His assignment? To lead the charge to oust the three Iowa Supreme Court Justices that ruled in favor of same-sex marriage (mentioned above). With the help of over half-million of out-of-state dollars from groups like The Family Research Council, the insane American Family Association and the National Organization for Marriage – they pulled it off.

TFL is part of network of Christian organizations – affiliates of Focus on the Family and the Family Research Council. The South Carolina analog to TFL – The Palmetto Family Council – will undoubtedly follow suit and start working its magic for Santorum. The Palmetto Family Council also received federal funding – $1.2 million to preach heterosexual marriage and abstinence-only via George W. Bush’s faith-based initiatives.

And some people did an FOIA and found out that the IFPC had used its funds, apparently, for political campaigning against the judges, and didn’t file its closing paperwork, etc. Explained in part here (and see link).

The Iowa Family Policy Center, a division of The Family Leader, did not comply with federal-grant protocol when it relinquished the last year of federal funding it received for a controversial marriage-counseling program, according to documents obtained by The Independent under the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA). At the center of the controversy is the recent revelation that the Iowa Family Policy Center (IFPC) might have used taxpayer dollars to wage a campaign against same-sex marriage in the state. Shorty after The Iowa Independent began reporting on IFPC’s Marriage Mattersprogram, IFPC announced they had agreed in September 2009 to stop accepting money from the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services (HHS) for the counseling operation. Marriage Matters was funded by federal government dollars while the organization carried out a campaign to oust three state Supreme Court judges whose 2009 ruling legalized civil marriage for Iowa gays and lesbians. But IFPC did not officially relinquish the grant funding until nearly a year later, The Iowa Independent reported. In a letter dated Aug. 3, 2010, HHS’s Administration for Children and Families (ACF) asked IFPC President Chuck Hurley to submit a formal relinquishment letter explaining the group’s reasoning for rejecting the funds. That was the first step in the process. The next step in the process, as ACF Grants Management Specialist Abangolee J. Caulcrick explained in that initial letter, would be for IFPC to submit a final financial status report and a final progress report.

The question of funding overlap comes from the fact that, according to the AP, IFPC spent $192,000 of the $550,000 it received in 2009 on salaries and employee benefits for five employees, including Hurley. The AP revealed that in April, when the news organization asked Marriage Matters operations manager Chris Nitzschke which IFPC employees were paid through the grant, Nitzschke only mentioned IFPC Vice President Mike Hartwig was paid; he did not mention more than half of his own salary came from the grant. Additionally, the Healthy Marriage grant money was spent on telephone, Internet and rent for the same building out of which IFPC was operating its campaign to overturn the gay-marriage Supreme Court ruling. Political connections One of the paid employees, Matt Reisetter — who was running the Northeast Iowa Marriage Alliance (NIMA) for the Marriage Matters program and is now the Family Leader’s director of development — was running for state political office and working for a presidential candidate at the same time. In 2006, Reisetter, a Republican, ran a failed bid for Iowa House District 19 seat against the Democratic incumbent Bob Kressig. NOTE: I hope this proves that, no matter which President is elected, unless someone protests, we are going to have MUCH more of this. Just remember, a lot of the money comes from TANF-welfare, so if a poor single mother shows up at your household, you can tell them: I gave at the office, I gave at the church (etc.), I work and pay my taxes, and since you don’t have a man in your life, go jump in the lake’ we’re all given out. You shouldn’t have gotten pregnant in the first place, or should have been tougher and able to stay in an abusive marriage. Shame on you for believing all that feminist rot about INDIVIDUAL RIGHTS to be free from assault & battery just because they’re in the criminal code. Didn’t anyone teach you how a custody conflicts generates program income which justifies federal grants to our state, which trumps a criminal complaint (prosecution of which depletes that income) any time of the month?!

This will only apply so long as one of these “anti-contraception” guys doesn’t win.
